Respiratory Therapist - CRT or RRT - Full Time

Full Time 

Position summary:

Works within the guidelines of the cardiopulmonary services department performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per department policy. Assists in the training of respiratory students and other caregivers and patients as requested. Participates in off campus rehabilitation as assigned.

Specifications (Education, Knowledge, skills, abilities, licensure, certification, registration)

• Credentialed by the NBRC as RRT or CRT or New RT Grad
• Registration with the State of Missouri as a RRCP per applicable law.
• Knowledge and ability to perform Respiratory Therapeutic, diagnostic procedures and cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures.
• Basic CPR Certification

  Role qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy

Experience

• Respiratory Therapy specific training

      Licenses/Certificate

• Registered by the NBRC or eligible to take the NBRC written Registry Examination
• Certified by the NBRC
• Current RPC  License with the state of Missouri
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support ( BCLS) required
• Certification in Breath Alcohol Testing and Calibration of RBT IV
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred, but not required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred, but not required
